'NIMBUS' ANTI-GLARE GLASSES FOR RUNNING AT NIGHT
Designed by one of the UK's leading brands for specialised sunglasses, Nimbus Night have lenses that are optimised for driving in the dark and will suit anyone who has to run in the dark. They are also perfect for use in dull conditions, such as dusk, or poor weather.
What Do They Do?
Nimbus Night glasses have category 0 lenses, with an AR coating on the rear surfaces that removes glare from oncoming car lights and street lamps etc. This allows you to see and judge the road much better, whilst reducing fatigue and drowsiness that can be caused by bright lights.
Why Are They Not Polarised?
Many 'night glasses' for sale have polarized lenses. Please note that polarized lenses do not work at night, and cannot reduce the glare from artificial lights such as car headlamps. Polarized filters are only designed to filter sun light that bounces off horizontal surfaces to cause glare. Some manufacturers add polarized filters to their night glasses because they know many of their customers think this is what they need. It isn't. Rapid Eyewear is a brand with integrity and we only produce glasses that have exactly what is required for the intended purpose.
The Frames
Made from an ultra-tough TR90 composite, the high quality frame is finished in a hand-sprayed matt black colour and features sprung side arms. it has a wrap-around style that blocks unwanted glare from entering the sides of your vision.
