DRY EYE AND HAY FEVER SUNGLASSES: MORITZ

When it comes to sunglasses, the critical thing for hay fever and dry eye sufferers is that the maximum protection is given against the wind and pollen. Even a relatively mild encroachment can make a difference.

Rapid Eyewear's wrap-around Moritz sunglasses benefit from the addition of a foam gasket that sits on the inside of the frame, providing total protection from the elements.

The Frames

Moritz benefit from having an incredibly tough frame, made from TR90, a plastic material that's superior to the more usually seen polycarbonate. Rubber side arm inserts and nose pieces ensure maximum comfort. The foam gasket (which can be unclipped and removed on 'still' days if required) wraps itself around the inside of both lenses, making for a highly effective wind and pollen barrier.

The Lenses

Rapid Eyewear's Frostech lenses feature an anti-fogging capability, thanks to a special coating applied to the inside surface. As with all Rapid Eyewear sport sunglasses, the Moritz have de-centred lenses, which means they have been calibrated to nullify the possible distorting effect of placing a curved lens in front of your face.

The polarised filters remove glare from car windscreens and road surfaces etc., further enhancing your ability to see what's ahead when you're driving.

Moritz has Category 3 lenses fitted, a tint that can best be described as a 'standard' level of light filtering for use in sunshine. Thanks to their high-quality optics, you will enjoy excellent contrast and clarity in your vision.

UV Protection and Conformity

All of our sunglasses comply with British, European and US standards. They offer 100% UVA / UVB (uv400) protection for all lens types.

Strap

If you intend to use Moritz for sports such as climbing or skiing, you can unclip the side arms and add the supplied strap. This allows you to enjoy such activities even if dry eye is usually a problem.

The Package

Moritz sunglasses are supplied with a microfibre carry pouch that doubles as a cleaning cloth, and the interchangeable retainer strap that's ideal for extreme sports use.
